![]() ![]() To be honest, I had a hard time finding a build like mine at all (aside from Death becomes you by Kaliban99). Interestingly enough, this is my first stab at an assassin… no pun intended. He’s still the same sort of character, but he’s much better at it, and is playable from much earlier on. So in the end I made this guy instead, and am too uncaring to change his build name. He was alright, (although he wasn’t playable until level 21) and he wasn’t terribly good at hitting things. When I was done, I was left with a substandard sneak attacker who was more intimidating then the threat of childhood belting from your parents (but for practically no reason). Originally, when I started this build, I was striving to be as literally accurate as I could be. Artemis in 3.5e is kind of like, in 5e, taking 13 levels of Fighter and then 5 levels of Rogue and still getting the 17th-level Assassin's Death Strike class feature. The problem with converting this into 5e is that you can't take a single level in Assassin and get an insta-death class feature. ![]() He has a single level of Assassin so he gets access to the Death Attack class feature, so he can actually assassinate stuff. He has as single level of Ranger for the Track feat and Favored Enemy (humans) class feature. ![]() Also, he needs some of these skills to qualify for the Assassin PrC. He has a wide but shallow series of skills, which a handful of levels of Rogue capture easily. He is a very competent warrior, with the Base Attack Bonus and bonus feats of a high-level Fighter. So, his statistics in 3.5e mainly aim towards a particular combination of features which captures his capabilities: ![]()
